CURWENSVILLE - Nate Sipes ran for 211 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries for lead Curwensville (8-0) to a 70-0 win over visiting Elk County Catholic (5-3), which was still playing without leading rusher Anthony Tettis.
Sipes scored on first-half runs of 15, 2, 6 and 37 yards and his brother Nick added touchdown runs of 2 and 69 yards in the half to help the Golden Tide build a 41-0 halftime lead.
Dean Swatsworth then returned the opening second-half kickoff 78 yards for a score, and Nick Sipes added a 14-yard scoring run making it 54-0 at the end of three.
In the fourth quarter, Adam Pennington scored on a 22-yard run, and Matt Holland on a 1-yard run to close out the scoring.
Curwensville has scored 70 or more points in a game twice this season while averaging 53 ppg (424 in eight games).
Nick Sipes ended the night with 15 carries for 187 yards.
ECC managed only 77 yards of total offense including just 25 yards rushing on 24 carries.
